MEET THE TEACHER
Hi! My name is Brooke Webber and I am so excited to be part of an awesome Kindergarten team here at Gale! More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your child's teacher! It's going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures and I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know ALL about your child, but first I'm going to tell you a few things about me.
I was born and raised not far from here in a small town called London Mills. I attended high school at Spoon River Valley. After graduating high school, I attended Monmouth College where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I also hold a Master’s Degree from Western Illinois University.
I started my teaching career with the Galesburg School District 10.5 years ago as a Title 1 teacher at Lincoln. I then went on to receive my Reading Recovery training and taught .5 year at Cooke Elementary before being transferred to Gale. I taught Reading Recovery at Gale for 7.5 years before joining the Kindergarten team. I have been truly blessed to be a part of such an amazing school.
I am married to a wonderful man, Jason, who is an engineer on the railroad. We have an amazing 6 year old daughter named Myli that is so much fun. She definitely keeps me on my toes at all times. She will be in First Grade this year at Hedding Grade School in Abingdon. We also have a little boy named Landyn who will be 2 in October. He is running all over and is just a happy little boy! How fast our beautiful children grow!
I am so excited to be your child's teacher and for your child to be a part of C-2. This is going to be a great year! Your child's education and well-being are of utmost importance to me so I am always eager to hear from you! Please do not hesitate to call or send an email with questions, concerns, ideas, or comments.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Webber
